Instant Remote Computer Support means that you can have a computer technician or tutor right there with you on your desktop.
Simply download a file from us, execute it and click the 'connect' button, and we can see and control your desktop just as if we were right there with you.  You still maintain control over your own desktop, so the experience is fully interactive.  In combination with the chat facility, or even Skype or some other voice/text communication tool, we can assist you in just about anything you need, computer-related.
As long as you have a working internet connection, we can reach you - even if your web browser is not working and you cannot download your email, you may still have an active internet connection so if your problem is lack of internet, you may not need to panic - contact us and we can try to help.

How to Get Computer Help

  1. Open a support ticket with us - this is FREE.  Click here to open a ticket.
  2. Decide what kind of help you need:
    [SHOW ME HOW] Remote Support - select this option if you need help with using your computer, or require tutoring.
    [FIX IT NOW] Remote Support - select this option if you have a problem that requires fixing
  3. Provide a detailed description of your requirements in the ticket.  Please include as much detail as possible, including the name of any software involved.
  4. We will get back to you with either an estimate of how long the job will take, or we may request additional information.

How Does It Work?

We will send you a link to a small program which you will need to download.

The program does not need to be installed; just double-click on it and it will start the remote support tool.

Click the CONNECT button, and we will be right there on your desktop.

You can disconnect the service at anytime you like, and once the program has stopped, there is no remote access possible to your computer (until you restart the program).

So Is It Safe?

Yes.  The program we provide will only allow connections from our systems, so you are safe from unwanted access.  The program does not need to be installed, and will only open access to your computer when it is visibly running.

 

What Will It Cost Me?

Before we start work, we will have provided you with an estimate.

If you are happy with the estimate and approximate cost, then we will require at least a AU$15 deposit before we access your system and take a look.

All jobs are charged in 15 minute increments (units) at a rate of $15 per unit.

So if your problem takes half an hour to resolve, the total cost of the job will be AU$30 (2 x 15 minutes =  2 units @ $15 = $30)

[SHOW ME HOW] Remote Support:

If you need to know how to use some software on your computer, or how to perform a particular task, select this option when opening a ticket.  "Show Me How" support is useful when:

  • You need help with using a program, such as Word - Excel - Powerpoint - Photoshop - Live Messenger;  just about any software you might use
  • You need assistance with using your web browser and the internet; perhaps you need to know how to use Hotmail - Facebook - Twitter, or how to search for something effectively using Google
  • You need help setting up applications which require some configuration, such as your email client (e.g. Outlook Express, Thunderbird)
  • You need to setup a backup system, or require some other kind of automated system function to be created
  • You require someone to teach you how to operate your computer; right from the basics up to complex administrative tasks.
  • OR ANY TIME YOU NEED TO KNOW HOW TO DO ANYTHING ON YOUR COMPUTER

[FIX IT NOW] Remote Support:

Have a problem with your computer?  As long as you still have an internet connection, we can still help.  Select the FIX IT NOW option when opening a ticket.  "Fix It Now" support is useful when:

  • Your computer is suffering from a virus or malware / spyware infection. Even if you cannot browse the internet, we may still be able to help.
  • A function on your computer is failing, and you don't know what the problem is. We can try to identify and fix the issue for you.
  • ANY ISSUE THAT IS STOPPING YOU FROM USING YOUR COMPUTER
